Winemaker Roman Roth earned his oenology and distilling degree in 1992 and had dreamt of making Gin ever since! Using the fine wines of Wölffer Estate as the base, there was a fantastic foundation to make something extraordinary. Juniper berries have been grown on the Estate since 1996 so making Gin was a natural choice.
We distill our celebrated Rosé wine to use as the Gin base. For our main flavoring, we handpick our Estate Juniper berries between April and July. We also use a small amount of anise, fennel, coriander, cumin, and cardamom seed as well as ginger and lime zest.
This gin is all about balance. The mouthfeel is smooth with a clean and pure structure, great focus and a hint of spiciness. The finish is long and dry with a lush classic alcoholic warmth.
Perfect for Gin and Tonics. It’s also well-suited for any cocktail mix, especially a dry Gin Martini.
