Bringing the World's Fastest Growing Sport Out East
This past Labor Day Weekend, Wölffer partnered with the Pro Padel League (PPL) to introduce the world’s fastest-growing sport to the Hamptons. The “All Star” weekend presented professional competition that took place on Saturday, August 30th, between some of the world’s best padel players along with amateurs. The setting was picturesque: nestled just inside our vines on a gorgeous afternoon.
The decision to host PPL was more than simply providing a space for PPL to activate. Wölffer Co-Owner, Marc Wölffer, described it as, “an exciting partnership that brings together lifestyle, health, and quality,” to Travel & Leisure, adding that those attributes are, “the very values our winery stands for.”
Guests arrived to find courts set among the vineyard, VIP cabanas, a DJ, and Wölffer wines circulating the grounds, attracting notables such as comedian Hannah Berner, ESPN’s Peter Schaefer, and Allen Lazard of the NY Jets.
For both the league and the estate, the collaboration underscored a shared vision of bringing people together through experiences that feel dynamic, refined, and rooted in place. In the Hamptons, where leisure and culture intersect, the success of the event proved PPL and Wölffer’s organic nature as partners, and is an ode to wine’s place in sports.
