The East Coast is fast becoming America’s most exciting wine region. Once overshadowed by California, areas from Virginia to New York are now home to 1,400 wineries across 50,000 acres, producing elegant, terroir-driven wines that rival those from the West Coast.

Among them: Christian Wölffer, a German entrepreneur who, with winemaker Roman Roth, established our very own Wölffer Estate in the Hamptons. Wölffer’s “Summer in a Bottle”, a now iconic and renowned rosé introduced in 2013, helped ignite the rosé craze in New York City, cementing the estate as a trendsetter on the East End and beyond.
