When Summer in a Bottle debuted five years ago, it was the hope of new co-owners Joey and Marc Wölffer and Winemaker Roman Roth to infuse a youthful energy into the winery and invigorate the rosé category with a wine that was both style and substance.
Today, Summer In A Bottle is beloved by drinkers of all ages for its dynamic flavor, versatility and above all, beautiful packaging. We couldn’t be more excited to introduce the newly re-designed Summer in a Bottle 2019.

This special wine features all new limited-edition packaging that reflects a mature laid-back mindset inspired by the Estate's bohemian heritage. The design is marked by more negative space to showcase the wine, reminiscent of the beautiful summer evening skies on the East End. The imagery is loose and flowing, evoking the ocean breeze and come-and-go of the tides. The iconic geometric shapes and blooming flowers appear throughout, a homage to the origins of the bottle and design that started it all.
This year's vintage is lush and elegant with notes of canteloupe and pear. With a vibrant yet graceful mouthfeel this wine strikes the perfect balance of fresh fruit, minerality, and acidity. What makes this wine so special is that it can be served alongside intriguing foods and across diverse occasions – from an easy summer picnic to an elegant dinner party.

Wölffer's Rosé Roots
Roman Roth bottled his first vintage of rosé, at what was then called SagPond Vineyards, in 1990. Both he and Christian Wölffer knew instantly that there was something magical about Roman's technique and this special place.
