Wine and Dine: Explosive Fourth of July Pairings

The Fourth of July is right around the corner and we are in full planning mode thinking about our backyard BBQ menu, drink pairings, and activities for the kids. Fueled by the warm weather and the Wölffer team's favorite Americana-inspired bites, we've pulled together a list of what we'll be making next week, and what to pair it with.

Appetizer: We are drooling over these Marinated Cherry Tomatoes with Burrata and Toast from Half Baked Harvest. They're incredibly easy to make and, really, who can say no to burrata? Use fresh, farmers market tomatoes for the tastiest and most colorful expression of the dish, and pair with No. 139 Dry White Cider for a delightful and refreshing match.

Mains: The Fouth is pretty much synonymous with grilling, so we've picked out two of our favorite recipes that can all be cooked over the flame.

Dessert: In addition to the tried and true red, white, and blue fruit skewers and ice cream sandwiches, this Blueberry Streusel Coffee Cake from Well Seasoned Studio rounds out the dessert table. We're topping this bad boy with some fresh vanilla bean ice cream and savoring in the warm, melty, gooey-ness. Want to skip the cake? Our Diosa Late Harvest 2014 is a delightfully sweet treat poured over a scoop of that vanilla ice cream, but -- adults only!
